Welcome to the Medicare Help Page!
This page is designed to provide guidance and resources for Medicare and Medicare related topics.
The Medicare Parts C and D Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15th to December 7th every year.
Medicare Part C are Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicare Part D are prescription drug plans.
TIME TO REVIEW MEDICARE PART D PRESCRIPTION DRUG PLANS
Every year Medicare Part D plans can change the list of prescription medications they will cover. Now is the time to find out if your current plan will cost you more, or less than other Part D plans in 2021. An informative article with information on how to proceed is linked here: Medicare Part D Plan Review Information. The Bayfield County Elder Benefits Specialist has a Medicare Part D Screen Form with instructions to help you get organized. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by! Go to Medicare.gov to compare plans online or for local assistance call the Aging and Disability Resource Center of the North- Bayfield County Branch at 1-866-663-3607.
BEWARE of covid-19 fraud
As the number of people and communities affected by the COVID-10 pandemic grows, so do the scams associated with it. Please read this Fraud Alert for more information, and to see what Medicare covers related to the coronavirus:
